Cooper's Opal Spirit of Elizabeth, "Opal," comes to us from the same excellent kennel as Elijah, Cooper's Australian Shepherds in North Carolina. We brought Opal back to our home in Pennsylvania in November 2014.
Opal also comes from champion lines, with outstanding pedigree. Her mother is a beautiful black tri, Cooper She's Just the One, and her father is a stunning red merle, Heartfire's Red Ryder of Green Hills, who, as of Fall 2016, has won six international titles. We are so thrilled to be able to have such an excellent, beautiful dog in our Aussie family.
Opal quickly earned her AKC "Canine Good Citizen" certification. She is a stunner, keenly observant, and a true sweetheart. She is excellent with children, teachable, and highly biddable. Opal is a ball of energy and is always eager for a hike, a swim, a car ride, or a training session.
We can now add that she is a natural mother - she is attentive, highly attuned, and, as most healthy dams will be, extremely instinctive in her whelping and early mothering.
