This is an outstanding litter in all ways. A balanced blend of gender, color, and beauty. Maya whelped 9 puppies during the night of
July 12, exactly on her due date. Five males and 4 females.

BECOMING A PBAS FAMILY
In an ongoing effort to assure excellent health and care of our puppies, and in the interest in assuring the highest quality of breeding of Australian Shepherds, our puppies come with spay and neuter contracts. All of our puppies are AKC eligible, and we will provide the paperwork when proof of spay/neuter is provided. We register each litter with the American Kennel Club.
All potential owner families/individuals are interviewed and screened to ensure the best possible placement according to the needs and opportunities that come with owning a Potter Brook Aussie! Choice of puppies are always on a first come, first choice basis - according to the time and date that the $200.00 deposit is received. If a suitable match is not found from the current litter, or if timing does not seem right, your deposit can be moved to the next available litter. Please see our Home Page for Contact Information.
Our puppies are ready to go with their new families after they are eight weeks of age. They will have had their early veterinary checks, dew claws and tails removed, their initial vaccinations, and treatment for possible worm exposure before they are ready to go home with their new families.
Prospective families should send an email to [email protected] with a narrative of your familiarity of the Australian Shepherd breed, your family and housing information, and details of why an Aussie would make a good match for you.

A Potter Brook original from Coopers Elijah Chariot of Fire and PBAS Primero De Mayo
Born December 9, 2022
This amazing litter of pups were whelped on Friday morning, December 9, over a period of four hours. 5 males and 3 females. Mom did an outstanding job of delivery, without incident. All pups came out thriving and have continued to do so, gaining 2-3 ounces daily. They are a true and perfect balance of weight, color, gender, and absolute beauty! As they arrived during the holiday season, we were equally confident that this litter would provide their new families with a lifetime of spice, joy, and celebration in so many wonderful ways.
AND INDEED, THEY CONTINUE TO DO SO!
Our "Heritage Litter" - Born May 26, 2022
We are very excited to introduce to you our spring, 2022, Potter Brook litter. Our “Heritage” litter, born on Thursday, May 26.
As this is Opal’s last litter, as she now moves into retirement, we wanted to acknowledge the long line of pups she has blessed so many wonderful families with over these last six years. We have named these pups after pups born from each of her previous litters. From Ainsley, her very first born in 2016, down through Robin and Bud from her 2021 “Spring Ushers” litter.
She has done a remarkable job with this litter. Seven beautiful pups, healthy and thriving. 3 female black tri, 1 female blue merle, and three male blue merles.
Meet "Our Grandkids" - Born November 17, 2021
What fun it was to introduce you to our Maya and Elijah 2021 litter of pups. We celebrated this litter by naming them after our wonderful, sweet, kind, and awesome grandkids. Maya had five girls and two boys. We have the opposite in grandchildren, five boys and two girls.
Pay close attention to the gender of our pups. They do not always match the gender of the kids.

Welcome to our Spring Ushers
Born on March 18, 2021, one day before spring. This group of 10 beautiful pups ushered Potter Brook Australian Shepherds into an exciting celebration of new life. Five merles, five tris, red and black! What a delightful rainbow. Six boys and 4 girls! It was a joy matching these pups with 10 delightful families; all eager to "usher" in their newest family members. Wishing each and every family the best of luck, and a lifetime of caring for one another.

Our Potter Brook “Supreme” Litter - 11/7/20
This litter from Maya and Elijah began to arrive on Monday, November 2. Maya’s due date was November 7, so she was five days early. After a rushed morning of prepping the whelping room, and getting things in order, we had seven beautiful pups delivered. Maya started at 8:15 in the morning, with the last pup arriving at 1:30 p.m. Though somewhat below preferred weight at birth, all seven have rebounded, and gaining each day. The pups had their first vet visit on day five, and all are doing well, and thriving. Mom is doing an excellent job of feeding and caring for them.
Maya and Elijah are the proud parents of 2 girls and 5 boys. This litter will be known as the “Supremes”, in honor of US Supreme Court Justices who have championed civil rights and social justice issues.
We are so fortunate to have found wonderful homes for all of these pups. They will be living in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
